Improve your English speaking, listening, writing and reading skills, gain customer service skills and acquire language for the workplace during a part-time paid work placement.
Length:
6 months of Intensive English and a guaranteed job placement of up to 4 months of part-time paid work
9 months of Intensive English and a guaranteed job placement of up to 7 months of part-time paid work
Course Structure: 28 lessons/week (including 8 electives) + 7 Structured Study Sessions
(Lessons are 45 minutes) - 21hours of lessons + 5.25 hours of Structured Study
Recommended ages: 18 - 30
Minimum rates of pay per hour: NZD 11.25
Minimum English level: Intermediate with good spoken English (IELTS 5.0 and student visa with work right status required prior to placement in work, as per the visa regulations)
Locations: Auckland and Christchurch
2009 start dates: Jan 5, Mar 23*, Apr 14*, Jun 22, Sep 28(Sept 29 in Perth), Oct 19*
*(Only available for six month program)
Note: English for Business and Exam preparation (IELTS/TOEIC/Cambridge) classes are available. Please indicate on your application form that this is of interest to you.
OPUS Working Holiday New Zealand
Working Holiday Visa course. Study English for up to 12 weeks then start a paid work placement providing you obtain a working holiday visa for New Zealand. Please see visa information section.
Length: Up to 12 weeks of Intensive English + job offer placement of up to three months.

Age eligibility: 18 - 30

Minimum English level: Lower Intermediate with good spoken English (intermediate level prior to placement in a job.)
